Depicts: The Peleș Castle (Sinaia, Romania)

Another direct swap that I proposed, because I've been trying to get as many cards from as many different countries as possible! This one came all the way from Romania and I loved it immediately, because I'm a sucker for palaces, castles and things of the like!
Anca was kind enough to tell me that this castle (Peleș Castelul in Romanian) is a Neo-Renaissance building placed in an idyllic setting in the Carpathian Mountains in Sinaia, Prahova county, on an exisiting medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia. It was built between 1873 and 1914 and is the final resting place of several Romanian monarchs. It's considered by many one of the most beautiful castles in all Europe - and I'm inclined to agree. Can I just go visit it now?
