This card's picture almost looks like a painting, even though it's a photo. Kristina told me she doesn't live in Riga, but in Carnikava, a little village near the Baltic Sea, 30kms from the capital. It was the first card I ever got from Latvia, which has always seemed like a mysterious and interesting country to me; this eerie picture was the first of many which made me want to just pack and go visit the city.
